Easily uninstall the Norton Security Online or Norton Security Suite by following the steps in this article.

Download and run the Norton Remove tool for Windows

Norton Remove tool is used to uninstall or remove your Norton device security product on Windows.

If you have Norton Family, you need to uninstall it before you run the Norton Remove tool.

Uninstall Norton Family from your device

Windows PC

  1. Press the Windows + R keys to open the Run dialog box.
  2. In the Run dialog box, type in the following text, 
    appwiz.cpl

    and then press Enter:

  3. In the list of currently installed programs, click Norton Family, and then click Remove or Uninstall.
  4. Click Yes to confirm.
  5. In the Norton Family window, type your parent email address and password, and click OK.
  6. Click Next.
  7. When the uninstall finishes, exit all programs and restart the computer.

Uninstall the Norton product (Remove only)

  1. Download the Norton 360 Remover tool.
    Save the file to the Windows desktop. On some browsers, the file is automatically saved to its default location.
  2. To open the Downloads window in your browser, press the Ctrl + J key.
  3. Double-click the Norton_360_remover icon.
  4. To uninstall and reinstall your Norton device security product, click Remove.
  5. To confirm, click Uninstall.
  6. After the uninstall is complete, click Restart Now.

Or Manually Uninstall

If you have deleted your Norton Family account or if you no longer want to monitor activities on a device, you can uninstall it from your device.

Uninstall Norton Security Online or Norton Security Suite for PC

  1. From the start menu, click the Control Panel.
  2. Select Programs.
  3. Click on Program and Features.
  4. In the list of currently installed programs, select the Norton Security product, and then click Uninstall or Remove.
  5. If the User Account Control window appears, click Yes.
  6. Follow the on-screen instructions to select your uninstall preference.
  7. Norton uninstaller will run and complete.
  8. Restart your computer.
