Windows Default Storage has Many Flaws

Why even bother downloading a third-party app for storage management when Windows already has built-in systems for that? Well, because it's kind of lackluster. When you have a drive (or several) crammed full of files, Windows falls far short of expectations in many ways. You always know exactly what you are deleting. You can zoom in or out of the treemap to get as hyper-specific with your data as you want. You can sort by file extension, making it easy to find duplicate data or things that tend to get lost in the abyss, like old .zip files. You can even customize the treemap itself, choosing what colors represent what files and filtering what data shows up on it at all.

WizTree almost makes file management kind of fun. It's so streamlined, colorful, and intuitive, that you almost look forward to cleaning your drives, kind of like spring-cleaning.

Ultimately, managing storage on your PC is something we all have to do eventually. For many people, it's a pain, but it really doesn't have to be.
